53-year-old man shot in Riley County

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – A 53-year-old man was the victim of a shooting that left him with a gunshot wound to the arm and leg.

At 1:47 p.m. on Sunday, the Riley County Police Department (RCPD) and one Kansas Highway Patrol officer responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Flint Hills Place in Manhattan.

When officers arrived, they found the 53-year-old man had two gunshot wounds. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. There are no further updates on his condition, according to the RCPD.

Officers canvased the area for the suspect. The RCPD said the suspect is still at large but isn’t believed to be a threat to the community.
