WINFIELD, Kan. (KSNW) — A salon and thrift store have been destroyed after a fire in Winfield Sunday morning.
According to the Winfield Fire/EMS Department, they received a report at 9:03 a.m. for the report of a building fire at East 5th Avenue and Millington Street. The building housed Dream Catcher Salon and Winfield Thrift Store.
A unit from the Ark City Fire/EMS Department was automatically deployed.
The WFD said the fire was still burning just before 11 a.m., but they expected it to be extinguished shortly after.
