WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Garden City Police Department is looking for a man suspected of aggravated robbery on Friday night.
A news release from the GCPD says around 9:30 p.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to the Greenbriar Apartments in the 1100 block of W. Campbell Street for a reported aggravated robbery.
Police said a woman told officers she had parked in the north parking lot and got out of her vehicle, a Honda Accord, when she was approached and attacked by a man. She tried to fight him off, but he pulled a knife on her, took her vehicle and fled the scene.
The vehicle was located unoccupied at a Love’s Travel Stop at 3285 E. U.S. Highway 50. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. The woman was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Police said the suspect was described as a male in his 30s, standing 5-foot-7- or 8-inches, wearing a ski mask.
