TOPEKA (KSNT) – God’s Storehouse cut the ribbon to officially welcome its second location in east Topeka on Friday.
The ribbon cutting took place on March 1 at 11 a.m. Workers, shoppers, community members, and Mayor Mike Padilla were present.
The popular thrift store has been a part of Topeka for 15 years. The store’s general manager, Michael Kloos, said he’s thankful for the relationship the store has with Topekans.
“I think it’s everything. I think that it just goes to show that the community loves to see their donations as they donate it to people who are in need,” said Kloos.
Kloos spoke to 27 News about plans to remodel their west Topeka location. He said new parking lot and drive up are also in the works.
The official opening of their new store located at 1707 S.E. 29th St. will be held Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m.
