KOKOMO, Ind. (KSNT) – KU men’s basketball signee Flory Bidunga lived up to the hype on Friday night with his Kokomo Wildkats.
Bidunga, who committed to KU in August of 2023 and signed in November, posted an unheard of stat line which wound up being a triple-double. It was 17 points, 24 rebounds and 10 blocks for the future Jayhawk in Kokomo’s 62-49 win on Friday against conference-foe Anderson, in a game which carried heavy significance for the conference crown.
27 News made the trip to Indiana to meet Bidunga, his coach and his guardians and share the KU commit’s story with viewers back in Northeast Kansas.
“It’s amazing,” Bidunga told 27 Sports Director Glenn Kinley in an exclusive interview after Friday night’s performance. “It’s really amazing to work with my teammates with blocks and rebounds and stay solid. It’s enjoyable for sure.
It’s the sixth career triple-double for Bill Self’s future center. His presence in the paint helped Kokomo outscore its opponent 38-18 in the paint.
“I try to be a solid player in the paint, do as much as possible, be physical for sure,” he said. “You saw the result there, so that’s pretty good.”

Bidunga, despite a rather absurd stat line, would rather talk about the team getting a big win. That means more to him than any individual accomplishments.
“You should see the locker room, that was fire,” he said. “Back-to-back [conference] champions… It’s always great.”
Bidunga, his high school head coach and his American guardians sat down with 27 Sports for in-depth, exclusive interviews on Thursday. A feature story on Bidunga will air on Feb. 25 on K-Nation, only on KSNT. Fans of KU, or the Kokomo big man, can watch the story online after it airs.
