KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jackson County family court says the Office of the Juvenile Officer filed charges against two juveniles in Wednesday’s shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl rally near Union Station.

Family court says the suspects are currently at the Juvenile Detention Center on gun-related and resisting arrest charges. The court’s office said in a news release that the charges were filed Thursday and more charges are expected as Kansas City police continue to investigate.

FOX4 is working to determine when the juveniles are due in court. The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office told FOX4 on Thursday that the juveniles will be charged as adults if and when they are certified to stand trial as adults. They have not been identified, nor have their ages been given.

The charges come after 23 people were shot at the conclusion of the Super Bowl rally Wednesday, leaving one woman dead.

Police Chief Stacey Graves said a dispute between several people led to the shooting. She stressed a preliminary investigation shows no connection to terrorism or homegrown violent extremism.

On Thursday, police confirmed 43-year-old Elizabeth “Lisa” Lopez-Galvan was killed in the shooting. She was a DJ and host of Taste of Tejano at local radio station KKFI.

“Our hearts and prayers are with her family,” the station wrote on Facebook. “This senseless act has taken a beautiful person from her family and this KC Community.”

The 23 shooting victims ranged in age from 8 to 47, and over half of them were under the age of 16, police said.

KCPD has set up a tips line for people who witnessed the shooting incident or were a victim of the shooting who haven’t yet reported being shot. Please call 816-413-3477.

Additionally, the FBI Kansas City office has set up a website where anyone can share photos or videos from the shooting with law enforcement.
