Shooting injury leads Topeka police to launch investigation

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) are looking into a shooting report after a person arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said the TPD traveled to an area hospital around 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 12 on a report of a shooting. At the hospital, officers found one person suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

Nichols said the individual received treatment at the hospital. Police are currently investigating this incident. More information will be added here as it becomes available or in follow-up reporting.
