KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers exceeded expectations, and fans thought so as well.

The Big Game was the most watched telecast ever, with a total audience of 123.4 million average viewers across all platforms, according to CBS Sports.

It also had the largest audience in history for a single network, with 120 million viewers.

The game was also the most streamed Super Bowl in history. 202.4 million viewers watched all or part of the Super Bowl.

That is the highest unduplicated total audience in history and up 10 percent from last year’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs have proven to be must-see TV throughout the past few years, continuing to set streaming and viewership records.

The record numbers should come as no surprise as the game didn’t disappoint, with the Chiefs winning 25-22 on a game winning touchdown in overtime and Usher’s highly anticipated performance.
