WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Kansas City Chiefs fans are still riding on a high from Sunday night’s big win, and many are doing it back in Kansas now. KSN was at Wichita Eisenhower Airport this afternoon when fans arrived.

People were excited to show off their championship-winning team colors as they walked to baggage claim. A Great Bend woman who has been a fan for 40 years says it was a dream come true to see her favorite team play in the Big Game. She bought her ticket the day after the Chiefs beat Baltimore.

“I’ve wanted to go the last couple years, the last couple times they’ve gone. And then, I don’t know, in December, just a couple months ago, I decided if they make it this year, I’m going. I’m just going,” Marti Smith from Great Bend said.

Another fan told us they were surrounded by San Fransisco 49ers fans in Las Vegas, so proving them wrong made the victory even better.

“So the first day I felt like there was a lot of Chiefs fans but the second day I felt like we were getting surrounded by a ton of 49ers fans and they kept on saying they were going to destroy the Chiefs. And we showed them wrong, so that felt pretty good,” 13-year-old Pierce Jacquinot said.

Chief’s tight end Blake Bell’s family went to the Big Game and remarked how incredible the Chief’s dynasty has become and the hard work of his son.

“It’s incredible, it’s hard to wrap your mind around what Blake’s accomplished, and we’re so proud of him and everything he’s accomplished with the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s been a true blessing,” Mark Bell said.

Blake Bell’s championship portfolio includes Super Bowl 54, Super Bowl 57 and now 58.
