KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — The Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII win over the San Francisco 49ers set the internet on fire after the epic overtime battle.
From former President Barack Obama to NBA star Luka Doncic, countless public figures typed out their thoughts for the world.
Obama shouted out some of the notable Chiefs after the victory.
“Congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs, MVP Patrick Mahomes, Coach Reid, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, Mecole Hardman, and the rest of the champs for another Lombardi Trophy,” Obama said. “Grace under pressure.”
That got former Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill in his feels when he said, “Man got Barack tweeting about him. I’m jealous bro,” to Hardman getting credit from Obama.
Before that, Hill gave his kudos to those he won Super Bowl LIV with.
“My brothers win it again proud of them boys, even more motivation for us in Miami,” Hill posted on X. “Coach Reid & 15 different been saying it all year.”
Another former Kansas City Super Bowl champion, defensive end Frank Clark, also weighed in.
“Back to back! Congrats to the boys on a legendary run!” Clark wrote.
Former Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz posted, “Another one!!!!! Mecole!!!! Chiefs!!!!! MAHOMES!!!!!!!!!”
Schwartz also had an opinion on Kansas City’s favorite couple Kelce and Taylor Swift.
“Travis and Taylor are so good together,” he added.
Some NFL stars from around the country added their two cents.
“I told y’all. The 9ers might look better on paper but the Chiefs always find a way,” New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner said.
“Back 2 back championships! What a game!!” Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons posted.
Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey gave his thoughts, adding a special note about Chiefs defensive back Trent McDuffie.
“Sheesh! Back to back is ELITE! Pat like that! Btw, loved how McDuffie played! It’s beautiful football when you can showcase your whole skill set!” Ramsey said.
Cincinnati running back Joe Mixon gave Bengals fans hope for next year in his post.
“Helluva Game! Don’t worry we gone be back next year,” he said.
Even the NBA’s leading scorer, Dallas Maverick guard Luka Doncic, took to X to make his bold opinion known with a “GOAT” emoji while tagging Mahomes.
Official college accounts were sure to shout out their former stars.
Texas Tech Football posted “The Mahomes Dynasty,” with a graphic of former NFL great QBs that have also won three or more Super Bowls silhouetted behind Mahomes and the Lombardi Trophies he’s collected.
Kansas State football congratulated former Wildcats DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah and CB Ekow Boye-Doe, on getting rings.
The Kansas City Royals, Sporting KC and the KC Current also reacted to the Super Bowl title coming back home. The Current also made sure to emphasize how proud they are of Mahomes, co-owner of the organization.
