Biden congratulates Chiefs on Super Bowl win, welcomes team back to White House

12 February 2024

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — President Joe Biden congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday night on their Super Bowl LVIII victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

“With their third Super Bowl win in just five season, the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t just champions today – they’re a dynasty,” Biden said on social media.

Biden went on to say he’s is ready to welcome the Chiefs back to the White House.

The Chiefs are the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2003-04.

The Chiefs have officially reached dynasty status with back-to-back Super Bowls and three Super Bowls in five seasons.

This will be the Chiefs second time celebrating a Super Bowl win at the White House. The team was invited by former President Donald Trump following their Super Bowl LIV win against the 49ers in 2020 but it never came to be due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
