WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Long-time Wichita radio host, Greg Williams, decided to tattoo the first two Lombardi trophies-to his arm, just before the Chiefs won their 3rd title. He added a 3rd trophy to the design, after last year’s win. He hopes to add on a fourth trophy, Monday, after the Chiefs go back-to-back.
“It’s been my life, I’ve been a Chief fan ever since I was a kid,” Williams said.
Williams said his first call, after the Chiefs win, would be to get his tattoo updated. The Chiefs’ success had him running out of room on his arm.
“That’s the real problem is where am I going to put this flipping thing, and I’m hoping I can add two or three more to it, so I should’ve thought smaller with the original tattoo, but I’m going to figure it out, I can promise you that,” said Williams.
Williams said he didn’t tell his wife beforehand, but she has since opened up to it.
“I didn’t tell her exactly everything about it, but after she saw it she thought I was nuts, but she’s embraced it, she knows how much we love the Chiefs,” said Williams.
Jayson Neloms said it’s the first Chiefs tattoo was that he’s done. He says his art form allows people to show who they are.
“It’s a good way to express how they feel, without saying all the words,” said Neloms.
He said there’s always a way to add on to the design.
“Maybe we can do trophies around the whole helmet, maybe we could do that,” said Neloms.
There’s no doubt in Williams, that he will be adding a fourth trophy after the big game.
“The final score of the game, I’m going to rest on the arms of the Kansas City defense, and I’m taking the Chiefs, 24-21,” said Williams.
Williams shared that his youngest daughter is a 49er fan, and they have been exchanging some smack talk, all in good fun.
