REPORT: Kevin McCullar Jr. won’t play against Baylor with injury

10 February 2024

LAWRENCE (KSNT) – For the second time this season, No. 4 Kansas men’s basketball will be playing without one of its All-American candidates.

Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman is reporting that KU senior wing Kevin McCullar Jr. will be a no-go for the Jayhawks’ Saturday home matchup against No. 13 Baylor.

This comes hours after KU McCullar Jr. told ESPN’s College Gameday that he’s, “a little banged up and may not be able to go tonight.”

McCullar Jr. sat out of a Jan. 30 matchup against Oklahoma State with a lingering knee injury.

The veteran is averaging a Big 12-leading 19.5 points per game to go along with 6.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists a contest.
