Dighton man found guilty of child exploitation

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A federal jury convicted a Dighton man on child exploitation charges on Wednesday.

A news release from the Department of Justice said Daniel Kroeker, 49, was found guilty of receiving child pornography on his social media account in July 2019.

The jury also found he possessed a laptop and cellphone containing pornographic images of a child under the age of 12 when agents conducted a search in December 2020.

The DOJ said Kroeker is scheduled for sentencing on April 24.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, North Dakota Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigations — North Dakota are investigating the case.
