Warm and windy for the next couple days

7 February 2024

Southerly wind gusts will be around 30mph through the day today, but may pick up even further overnight with gusts around 40-45mph. This will keep temperatures very mild through the next couple of days with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s for today and lower to middle 60s for Thursday.

Our next system looks to start bringing in a cold front through by late Thursday, eventually pushing all the way through by Friday. This will shift our winds to the north and east, and bring a slim chance for a couple isolated showers, mainly later this evening and again Friday evening. Behind the front, temperatures will cool back into the 50s for highs for the end of the week and start of the weekend.

We’re eyeing a system for late weekend that may bring even chillier weather to the area. We’ll have more details as it gets a bit closer to us. Right now, there’s a slight chance for some cold rain, possibly mixing with snow Sunday. The better chance for any showers will likely be to our south and southwest. Highs look to make it into the middle 40s for Sunday and Monday, which is a lot closer to our average highs for this time of the year.

The 40s don’t look to last too long, though. We’re looking at mostly sunny skies to start off next week with highs rebounding into the lower 50s for Monday and Tuesday.
