We switch out the fog for wind today. South winds will be sustained at 15 to 30 mph with gusts reaching 45 to 50 mph. This has prompted a Wind Advisory for portions of the area.
South winds will be a nuisance but will also help keep temperatures pleasant. We start off the day well above freezing before warming back up to the 50s and 60s.
The uptick in winds is due to the next disturbance in the region. It will also stream in more clouds which will lead to a chance for rain. We are not seeing much moisture just yet though.
A few showers will be possible through the day. Mainly to the west at first and then spotty rain tracks east through the evening and during the overnight. A rumble of thunder, especially to the west, cannot be ruled out but severe weather is not expected.
Thursday will be another gusty day but it will be another mild one too. Warmth continues through Friday before another storm system makes it feel more like winter over the weekend.
Thursday and Friday are not looking too active when it comes to moisture. Areas northwest could get skimmed by some rain and/or snow during this time though.
More moisture gathers during the day Saturday. A mixture of rain and snow will move in from the west as temperatures continue to tumble. Wintry and wet weather tracks through the rest of the area Saturday night into Sunday.
Moisture moves out by the time the Big Game is getting started and conditions will be quiet into early next week.
