TOPEKA (KSNT) – The latest AP college basketball polls saw somewhat significant movement from both Jayhawks and Wildcats.
In men’s basketball, KU jumped four spots to No. 4 in the country in the top 25 rankings released on Monday, Feb. 5. The boost comes after a two-win week for the ‘Hawks, beating Oklahoma State by 29 on Tuesday and handling previously fourth-ranked Houston on Saturday.
KU is now 18-4 overall and 6-4 in Big 12 play. The Cougars fell to No. 5 in the country after their loss in Lawrence.
On the women’s side, K-State fell six spots after going 0-2 on the week. The Wildcats are now No. 8 in the poll after road losses to Texas and Oklahoma. Jeff Mittie’s team is now 20-3 overall and 9-2 in the conference.
K-State men’s basketball and KU women’s basketball remain unranked in the polls.
