WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansas State Trooper helped make a special delivery earlier this month.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says KHP Master Trooper Da’Von Brame received a call on Jan. 12 around 4 a.m. from the Rosales family that was en route to the hospital but was not going to make it in time before the baby arrived.
Trooper Brame met up with the family on the shoulder of Interstate 35 and, along with the father, helped the mother deliver their baby. Baby Pierson was born within minutes of Trooper Brame’s arrival.
The family went to the hospital, and the Patrol said baby Pierson is doing well.
“Mom, Dad, and KHP’s newest Junior Trooper Pierson made their way to the hospital and all are doing great! Pierson and his big brother will always have a KHP Trooper Bear watching out for them! Congratulations to the Rosales family,” said the KHP on Facebook.
