KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — The Kansas City Chiefs will practice at their rival’s facilities when they head to Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII.
As the AFC representative in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs will practice out of the Raiders’ headquarters during the week leading up to Super Bowl LVIII.
The Raiders and the Chiefs have a bitter rivalry dating back to their days as members of the old American Football League. But the decision for the AFC team to use their facility was made long before the Chiefs defeated the Ravens.
The San Francisco 49ers, the team representing the NFC, will practice out of UNLV’s Football Complex during Super Bowl week.
The 49ers could face some challenges at the UNLV practice facility. It is outside outside without any indoor football fields available and the weather in Vegas next week shows daily chances of rainfall.
Both Super Bowl participants will stay at properties in Lake Las Vegas, about a 40 to 50-minute drive from the Strip.
The Chiefs will look to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
