TOPEKA (KSNT) – Motorists should be cautious driving this morning while dense fog drops visibility below a quarter mile.
At 3:38 a.m., the National Weather Service of Topeka issued a hazardous weather advisory for dense fog in east Kansas. The fog is expected to continue until noon.
The NWS of Topeka identified Jackson, Jefferson, Morris, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Douglas, Lyon, Osage, Franklin, Coffey and Anderson Counties in the advisory.
“If driving, slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you,” the NWS said in the advisory.
