MANHATTAN (KSNT) – K-State women’s basketball star center Ayoka Lee has been ruled out for “roughly four weeks,” according to K-State Athletics.
Lee underwent ankle surgery Friday morning after an MRI revealed a small fracture in her ankle Thursday night. The news comes after Lee was recently named the National Player of the Week.
The No. 7 Wildcats have been anchored by Lee en route to a 17-1 record, 6-0 in the Big 12. Lee is averaging 19.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game as the nation’s second-leading field goal percentage (.667).
K-State is no stranger to playing without its former All-American, as Lee sat out all of the 2022-23 season with a knee injury.
The Wildcats host in-state rival Kansas at home on Saturday. K-State recently picked up a conference win in the record book after TCU cancelled a scheduled game earlier in the week.
