WATCH: Plane lands on highway in Virginia

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Police and EMS can be seen dispatched on a portion of Loudoun County Parkway in Northern Virginia where a small plane carrying seven people landed Friday.

Dulles International Airport said in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter:

Statement at 1:30pm: Dulles Airport received reports around 12:50pm of a departed aircraft landing off airport property on a nearby roadway. The aircraft was identified as Southern Airways Express flight 246. Responders from Loudoun County are managing the scene, and Dulles…

The area has been experiencing a winter storm since early Friday morning. Virginia State Police reported no injuries.

The Virginia Department of Transit advised using alternate routes on X, formerly known as Twitter:
