TOPEKA (KSNT) – A pop culture icon from the 1980’s is set to visit the Capital City later this year.
India Yarborough with the Greater Topeka Partnership (GTP) announced in a press release that 1980’s pop star Tiffany will be coming to Topeka on Thursday, April 4. This lines up with the GTP’s 2024 Annual Meeting which is themed, “Totally Topeka.”
Tiffany, known for hits like “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “All This Time,” will be the musical guests for the event. She’ll help take attendees on a trip down memory lane to set the mood for the event.
“We couldn’t be prouder to welcome Tiffany to Topeka and West Ridge Mall,” John Koop, vice president of events and resource development for the GTP said. “As we highlight the impact of West Ridge Mall on Topeka over the years, we are thrilled to have Tiffany perform and remind people of the music of the 1980s mall-boom era. Her songs are going to be the perfect way to round out important discussions we’ll facilitate about the future of this important community asset.”
Big figures in Topeka such as Mayor Mike Padilla, Advisors Excel Co-Founder Cody Foster, GO Topeka President Molly Howey and Visit Topeka President Sean Dixon will all be in attendance, according to the press release. They will hold conversations on key redevelopment projects shaping Topeka’s future and provide insight on economic development efforts taking place in the near future.
“I am eager to welcome our community members, business leaders and elected officials to West Ridge Mall this year for The Partnership’s 2024 Annual Meeting,” GTP CEO Matt Pivarnik said. “The Topeka area is transforming each day with new confidence and investment. The redevelopment of West Ridge Mall represents another bold step our community is taking to build a better Topeka/Shawnee County for generations to come. I can’t think of a more perfect location at this moment in time to celebrate our wins and dream about what the future holds.”
The 2024 Annual Meeting will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. on April 4 at the West Ridge Mall. Tickets start out at $125 and can be purchased by clicking here. For more information on this event, click here.
