WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Great Plains Nature Center is hosting a Kansas Day event.
“Kansas Day: A Birthday Celebration” will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center, located at 29th Street North and Woodlawn. The event is for all ages.
The celebration will include games, crafts, trivia, and a Naturalist program at 11 a.m., and a preview of their new program guide and events planned for 2024. The first 163 families will receive a birthday party favor bag.
“We look forward to our first event of 2024 highlighting the importance of Kansas nature over 163 years,” says Darah Jewell, Event Coordinator of the GPNC in a news release. “It’s a perfect way to showcase our upcoming events while celebrating everything we love about Kansas.”
