Small plane makes emergency landing near Towne West Mall

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A large emergency response near Towne West Mall after a small plane made an emergency landing.

According to Valerie Wise with the Wichita Airport Authority, a Cessna with two passengers experienced engine failure, causing the pilot to make an emergency landing.

The plane landed around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Taft Street and Tracy Street.

Airport fire and police are on the scene. Dispatchers confirm at least one person is being treated for minor injuries.
