Southbound lanes of Kansas Turnpike open after 3 hit in construction zone

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — An investigation by the Wichita Police Department has caused a local elementary school to be locked out.
Sedgwick County Dispatch tells KSN News police are working on an investigation near the intersection of Ninth Street and High Street. This intersection is near Black Traditional Magnet Elementary School.
Police now tell KSN they are investigating a possible mental health crisis. The intersection has been blocked off to traffic while police work.
A USD 259 spokesperson says the school is on lockout while WPD works its investigation.
