63-year-old hospitalized after crash west of Wanamaker

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A 63-year-old woman was transported to an area hospital after a rear-end crash on I-70 west of Wanamaker Road.

At 6:02 p.m. on Sunday, the 63-year-old’s 2010 BMW was disabled in the outer lane of I-70 eastbound. A 2014 Chevy Cruz was merging onto I-70 from I-470 and rear-ended the BMW. The BMW came to rest in the second lane of I-70 and the Chevy Cruz stopped in the shoulder of the highway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) crash log.

All drivers involved were wearing seatbelts, according to the crash log.
