30th annual Youth Horizons ‘Easter Sun Run’ held Saturday

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Youth Horizons 30th annual Easter Sun Run was held Saturday at Sedgwick County Park.

The annual fundraising event includes a 10k race and the Jeff Winslow Memorial 2-mile run/walk. The “Family Fun Zone” includes family activities, like an Easter egg hunt, inflatables, and food.


Wichita Police host ‘Ride to Live’

Everyone who registered to race received a T-shirt and a finisher’s medal. Cash awards for the top male and female runners in both events were handed out, with 1st place receiving $300, 2nd place receiving $200, and 3rd place receiving $125.

The event started at 9 a.m. and ran through the afternoon. Youth Horizons provides youth mentoring, advocacy, residential programs, and services for families and at-risk Youth in the community.
