$3.9 million resurfacing project starting north of Manhattan

29 March 2024

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – A 15 mile stretch of highway will be resurfaced north of Manhattan.

The Kansas Department of Transportation says starting on April 1, K-13 from the US 24 junction in Riley County to the K-16 junction in Pottawatomie County will be reduced to one lane. A pilot car and flaggers will direct traffic in the area. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

Work will be done during daylight hours Monday through Friday. A 13-foot width restriction will be in place. Work is expected to be finished by mid-June, depending on weather conditions.
