Family remembers Samantha Russell, who was killed in crash, her baby saved

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Police Department confirms that two people died after a shooting in Old Town early Thursday morning.
The crime scene is in the Old Town garage attached to the former Regal Warren movie theater.
Police say just after 3 a.m., 911 got a call about shots being fired in the area.
“Officers were about a mile away, and they heard the shots,” Lt. Chad Remy, WPD, said. “Shortly after they heard the shots, and were investigating another call, one of our calling parties here was on the upper level of the parking garage cleaning up when he stumbled upon a sedan and two deceased in the sedan.”
Remy said the victims are a man and a woman who appear to be in their 20s.
He said a street sweeper who goes through the parking lots and garages found the victims. The worker thought the car was in a peculiar spot and went to check it, and that is when he saw them. Remy said they had apparent gunshot wounds.
Police have identified a suspect vehicle and are searching for it.
