1 injured in Hutchinson apartment fire

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Hutchinson Fire Department said one person was injured following a fire in the 100 block of W. 9th. It happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Fire crews found a two-story apartment with heavy fire show from the front entry to the second floor. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze. One apartment received extensive damage, and a second had smoke and minor fire damage.


U.S. Army veteran fired howitzers into North Vietnam

A person received minor injuries and was treated and released by Reno County EMS. The Red Cross was called to assist the apartment’s occupants.

The fire is under investigation.
